Weekly Drawing – Nutrition and Physical Degeneration

Most people moan about Mondays – The weekend fun is over – back to the grind. That’s why every Monday in the month of August, I’m hosting a drawing to give away Holistic Kid prizes!

This month’s theme is building your Real Food Library – Nourishing Traditions, Wild Fermentation, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, Cure Tooth Decay, and Gut and Psychology Syndrome. Each week will be a different book, and if you win a book you already have, you can pick the one you want. If you are lucky enough to own all these books, you can send me your wish list!

This week I’m giving away the Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, Weston Price’s book documenting his research as he traveled the world in the 1930s.  In my opinion, this is a refreshing (though much more seasoned) answer to the popular though tedious and convoluted China Study that extols a vegetarian diet.  The images themselves provide amazing teaching of the affects of modernized food on bone structure and overall health.  I have found it to be a helpful teaching tool to share the benefits of eating nutrient dense foods with children (and put them off of junk foods!).  If you already have this must-have book, win it for a friend or family member or tell me which book above you’d like instead.
